Where Our Gemstones Come From

Sri Lanka sapphire mines
Primary Sapphire Source

Sri Lanka (Ceylon)

Known historically as Ceylon, Sri Lanka has been a source of fine gemstones for over 2,000 years. Our sapphires come from small-scale, family-run mines in the Ratnapura region, where traditional mining methods create minimal environmental impact while supporting local communities.

Every Ceylon sapphire we source is accompanied by government-issued origin certificates and verified through the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Authority.

Primary Emerald Source

Colombia

Colombia produces over 50% of the world's emeralds, and we source exclusively from mines operated by cooperative groups that reinvest in local infrastructure, schools, and healthcare. Our emeralds are evaluated by Colombian government-certified gemologists.

We work directly with mining cooperatives rather than brokers, ensuring fair compensation reaches the workers themselves.

Botswana diamond mine
Diamond Source

Botswana

Botswana is home to some of the world's most responsible diamond mining operations. Our diamonds come from De Beers Group's operations in Orapa and Jwaneng, which have invested billions in Botswana's economic development and education.

All our diamonds are certified conflict-free through the Kimberley Process and additionally verified through De Beers' own best-practice standards.
